In defense of Apple

"It was as inevitable as the release of a new iPod Touch for theupcoming holiday season. As soon as Apple established itself as a mature company able to provide easy-to-use and reliable telephones, music players and computers for busy, well connected people with no interest in technology, the geeks would turn against all-things Steve Jobs.

First up was the Big Dog of the technology blogosphere, Techcrunch’s Mike Arrington who, at the end of July, quit the iPhone for the ultimate in Star Trek telephony, Google’s uber-geeky Android MyTouch 3G. Celebrating his retirement from “the cult of the iPhone”, Arrington conveniently blamed it on “the Google Voice debacle”, Apple’s rejection of Google’s call management service from the App Store...."
